About the Camp
Estelita's Library is a radical social justice library and bookstore in Seattle. We were founded in 2018 to decolonize space and decentralize knowledge. Since then we've served over 11,000 community members, hosted 200+ groups, and circulated 7,500+ books.
Why we built this
Summer day camps in Seattle average $300–$500 per week. For a family with two children, three weeks of camp can cost $1,800–$3,000. For the 18,000+ children in Seattle who qualify for free or reduced-price meals, that math doesn't work. When school lets out, the kids who most need structured programming, mealtime, and mentorship lose all three. We built this camp to fill that gap — and to do it without compromise.
